“My love for jewelry began over forty years ago, when my husband founded Remy, a high end fine jewelry line and diamond business in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was quickly swept off my feet by the magical world of jewelry making and the flawlessness of diamonds. I visited the most important jewelry designers in the world and started to collect their catalogs, sometimes decades old, where I found inspiration for my work. For over 30 years I created a jewelry that blended the tradition of fine craftsmanship with modern design. Living in New York, I felt the need to create something that would remind me of my loved ones and bring back special memories. At the same time, I noted that people wanted to wear something that reflected their own individuality. This is how I created my own monogram and mantra line, which carry the values and principles of when I started: the tradition of fine craftsmanship, reflecting the times we live in.”

Born in Lebanon, Rita Shayo moved to Brazil where she met her husband. After their kids grew up, Rita and Haim decided to expand their horizons, moving to the city that never sleeps. There, they started Shayo Diamonds.

The Rita Shayo collection, born in 2018, brought to their business new designs, a wider array of stones and many new customers.
